So Trials and Tribulations.
So, I just got to case four, which is nuts and... well, a word on case three first.
...GUMSHOOOOE. ;_;
So the defendant was Maggey, this ex-cop that Gumshoe kinda mentored for a while way back when, and he has this massive crush on her. But when he got up on the stand to give his prerequisite "here are the facts" testimony, it kind of ended up being really bad for her case. So she was all upset and said she never wanted to see Gumshoe again and all this stuff. But when she was still going on about that at the end of the case, I just wanted to smack her. XD; I mean he didn't really have a choice; it is his job and all.
But anywho, Gumshoe spent the rest of the case trying to make it up to her omg. He pulled a Franziska and busted in at the very end of the trial with the last piece of evidence haha. Only at first Phoenix told him it wouldn't really help them at that point, and Gumshoe was saying all this stuff about how he never makes a difference, no matter what he tries, and being a loser isn't anything new, and I was just exploding omg. ;_;
But then Nick, in a rare moment of utter friggen win, figured out how to use that piece of evidence to get the guy anyway. Oh my gosh, I loved how they did this, it's so clever: the evidence is a little bottle that had medicine of the victim's in it, and Gumshoe's analysis shows the killer's fingerprints are on the bottle. So you present the bottle with his fingerprints, and you're supposed to bluff and say the bottle had the poison that killed the guy in it. The killer calls Nick out on the bluff...and describes the real bottle perfectly, effectively proving he poisoned the guy. So that was awesomesauce.
SO YEAHZ CASE FOUR.
It's another flashback case, where you play as Mia. :D This one takes place six years before the game. It's kinda weird 'cause it starts out in the present day and Phoenix is already in the hospital and I didn't think that happened till later, but whatever. They haven't said why he is yet, though. I guess they will later? But anyway he's reading up on Mia's first ever case for some reason and then it flashes back to that case.
Anyway it's kinda cool 'cause you're hangin out with past-Godot, aka Diego Armando, aka Godot before he started wearing a toaster on his face.
IT'S ALSO COOL BECAUSE IT'S YOUNG!MIA VERSUS YOUNG!MILES. :D
...Though since it's past!Miles, he's such a bitch haha. And it's a little creepy, because he has a whole bunch of von Karma's mannerisms. D: The first time he wagged his finger at me, I was just like, "FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOLY!" I just want to hit him and be like... "Nooo! He killed Mufasa your dad!"
I'm a little torn though, because I don't wanna play through this trial since I know it's going to end up really bad for Mia. See, the other flashback case, the one where you're defending young!Phoenix, takes place five years ago. And Mia says all this stuff about "this case one year ago" that apparently ended up being so bad she thought she'd never set foot in a courtroom again. o_O; So whatever happens in case four, it takes Mia a year to get over. And, green or not, this is still Mia we're talking about.
At the same time, I'm dying to beat it and move on to case five, because coming up next is the part of the game where you friggen play as Miles. :DDDDD So pumped. ...And Franny pulls a Miles and shows up for the last case of the game haha. I'm kind of excited for her to come back, too.
...Gah, I should write a little, but I just want to play more now. XD;
