What I got the J for this birthday
So there's this doughnut shop in Portland called Voodoo Doughnut:

Since J used to go to P-dubs and enjoy Voodoo every year, and we didn't go this year and who knows when we'll be going back I vote never, I decided to surprise him by having a handful of favorites overnighted here.
A cautionary note: it costs about $80 to have doughnuts overnighted cross-country.
Tonight, we eat west coast pasty baked fresh yesterday.
