Whew!!! What craziness my life has been. My dad had a 23 lb tumor, that was a little bigger than the size of a basketball, removed at the end of March and he has been home every since he got out of the hospital trying to recooperate from surgery then he is going to an oncologist to see where he stands when it comes to the cancer. I hate having to sit around not knowing what to expect. So i have been trying to pull some extra weight at the parents house doing chores and errands, so that has kept me pretty busy.
My car is on the downward spiral as well. Who knows what's wrong with it except for the fact that it's burning a ton of oil and won't accerate worth a damn. But will I let this slow me down, of course not. I have stopped driving on the interstate but with the bridge closed it doesn't really make a difference around here. No trips to Bloomington though and I miss my Bethany and Josh and Toby dearly.
On a positive note, I have made some really awesome new friends and seen some amazing shows. I saw Umphrey's McGee in Chicago at the Riv on 3-26-05 with Roy, Kurt, Terry, and Jake which was my first show and I feel in love, it was incredible. I saw Garaj Mahal at the Canopy Club in Champaign on 3-30-05, then on 4-5-05 I saw Dark Star Orchestra at the Canopy Club, then the best show I've ever been to Umphrey's McGee on 4-15-05 at the Canopy Club. Everyone went and me, Becke, Pat, Jake, and Roy had front row center. They started the show with "All in Time" and ended it with "Mulches". It was sooooooo amazing. I can't wait to see them again. Hopefully I won't have to wait until SummerCamp. Oh yes, Brain Child is playing SummerCamp for sure and I'm super excited for them.
Hanging out with Becke and the boys has been sooo much fun. As Roy always says who knew one night of meeting and talking at a party (couch sittin) would lead to all of us being such good friends. Sometimes I feel like I've known them all forever instead of just 2 months.
Art of Ill Fusion is playing Friday at SOP's then Saturday at Mulligans everyone should come out, it is sure to be a good time.
Well thats all for now, talk at ya later!
