You know, there may be hope for me to apply to some master's programs. Max discovered a master's program for people who studied German that could be useful! It's called Language Technology and Foreign Language Didactic (it's in Giessen-where I lived before). So you can apply to this if you studied a modern foreign language or computer linguistics. The first part of the program brings everyone up to speed basically: those who studied German or another language take the computer courses and the others learn linguistics. I'm a bit afraid that I am slightly underqualified for that since I've never taken education courses before. But I have taken the Praxis for German, have tutored German a lot, and am going to be working on a program for the tutoring sessions. There is an interview for this program so I can at least tell them all of that so they know I am at least interested. There are similar things in a couple other cities (Linguistics and Literary Computing, Linguistics and Web Technology) but I think the one in Giessen would be the best choice. It's the only one that requires an interview (like two five minute interviews, I think) and the other ones seem to require a little bit less to get into. We'll see, that's where I am now though. Thank God you don't have to apply to programs in Germany until July.
