woodlands weekend
what a lovely weekend.
Thursday was delightful, as usual. Nothing too exciting to say about that, cause it was about the same as every other one! ;)
Friday afternoon I had to wait for Alicia to get out of class to see if she'd be able to come to The Woodlands with me.. and she got her shift covered so she could! So exciting. We ended up getting into The Woodlands around 7 or so. My dad took us to Shogun (a hibachi restaurant) and I got the teppanyaki calamari.. sooo good. We went to go visit my dad's friends Joe & Pami cause I hadn't seen them in forever. They have such a crazy nice house. I used to babysit their son Weston when I first moved there in 2001 and he was just a baby. Now he's 8. I feel old! After that, we went back to the house and watched the Red Sox game and we were so full and sleepy that we fell asleep at the BOTTOM OF THE NINTH. idiots.
Saturday we slept until about noon or so and then got ready to go to Heather's baby shower, where we ended up staying till like 5. She's so pregnant and cute I love it! Afterwards we went to Sam Moon (duh) and surrounding stores and bought a bunch of crap that we both don't need. After that we met up with Sam and his fellow paramedic friend Chris, who I had never met, before at Wings and More. YES PLEASE! I met Sam through Ivan back in December, but I hadn't seen him in forever. We got there after they had already been there for an hour or so and we ate cause we figured we'd need to "carb up." haha. After that we went to Fox and Hound and drank some beers and shots of Jack and played darts. It was so fun. Apparently, darts are not exactly Alicia and mine's forte.. Alicia even managed to get one of the darts into the carpet. hahaha. Sam and I lost 2/3 rounds of darts and we took shots after every game. I think we ended up with about 4 shots of Jack each and then god knows how many beers. Sam ended up with $100 tab and Chris ended up with a $60 tab. WTF! At least we drank for free (!!) I always forget that Denton has abnormally awesome drink prices. Clearly, after all that, I was in no shape to drive my ass home so we rode with them back to Chris's house where Ivan, his lady, Andy, and some other dude I didn't know showed up. Chris and his roommates have 3 dogs they are so cute! Ray is a dalmatian, I'm assuming Harvey (!!) is a shepherd/rottie mix, and then Mugsy is a bulldog. Mugsy is so funny, he's got two black circles around his eyes. too cute. So, being the person I am, I spent most of my time petting the dogs and found someone else who likes dogs as much as I do (Andy). I finally went to bed around 4 or so and I guess everyone else had left so me, Alicia, Sam, and Chris all woke up around 10:30 or 11 and then watched part of the Bourne Ultimatum, Gone in Sixty Seconds, and then The Bone Collector. Chris even made eggs and pancakes! mmm. Alicia and I went back to my house and showered and watched Three Ninjas, then had to experience our next highlight of the trip... HEB of course! Got some sushi, went home and ate it, then headed back to Denton. Thank God for my zune cause I probably would have gone crazy without it, since there's about an hour or so of no radio stations between here and Houston. I drank a Rockstar on the way.. and now I'm not sleepy.. GREAT.
