Time away from livejournal leads to weird and random writing prompts:
List the five items that are always in your protagonist's fridge.
1. Almond milk - she's lactose intolerant
2. Apples - she likes them crisp
3. Leftover frosting - for emergencies
4. Ketchup - no one ever uses it, and yet, it's still there
5. Vanilla coke - seriously, who can resist it?
What's the worst thing your protagonist has done?
Like most people, she doesn't live her life to the fullest. Instead, she hides behind work, school, to-do lists, whatever is handy and easiest. The worst thing she's ever done is let the opportunity to be a teenager pass her by. And she's about to remedy that.
Who loved your protagonist more? Her mother or her father? Why?
She's a daddy's girl, which is a problem because she lives with her mother. Her mother has two other children before her that have been bonded with and raised with various degrees of difficulty, so by the time the protagonist comes along, it's supposed to be easy. The truth is, this mother is over being a mother. And this protagonist is used to going out of her way to please her, while she doesn't have to work so hard with her father. Her father finally has a shot to be the dad he missed out on with his first two kids. And the two of them share a quiet, make no waves attitude, an affinity for old musicals, and a love for, of all things, cows. Their relationship is one that doesn't have to be worked at, and there are no lies. It's unconditional love the way it's supposed to be.
