Two weeks later...

It's been exactly two weeks since my last entry, how about that? I thought, since it's Friday, a Five part update was in order.

One.

I made lemon flavored cupcakes this morning (from a mix, so it's kind of cheating) to take into work tomorrow. I work later today, but it's a short shift, and it's closing, so I thought it would be better to take them in tomorrow. I have some pink lemonade flavored frosting to use and some pink sanding sugar to put on top, so voila, pink lemonade cupcakes for summer! It might sound lame, but I'm kind of excited about it.

Two.

At the recommendation of someone I work with, I've bought the first season of Falling Skies from iTunes. I hope it's worth it. I was going to just check it out from the library or something, but no one in this area seems to have it. So, it was either spend $25 to get hard copies, or just go ahead and download for $16. I went the less expensive route.

Three.

If you're interested in the August issue of Portrait Magazine, I've already finished my two columns for it. How To: Combat Bullying and 10 Books About: Road Trips. I've got two celebrity features (Logan Lerman and Troian Bellisario) to finish in the next few days though, so wish me luck!

Four.

Our cats have fleas, which really frustrates me. We have indoor cats for a reason. But, a few weeks ago, a couple of them got out. You see, we weren't running our air, we like to have the windows open. One of them pushed out the screen for the sliding glass door, and a couple of them followed. It's summer, hence the fleas. We have two doses of flea medicine left, but we have four cats. I think two of them might be under weight now though. Your cat has to be at least nine pounds to use it. I think two of our cats might be just under. I'm not looking forward to bathing them.

Five.

I never finished my Dawson's Creek rewatch. I've just started the last season, and haven't gone back to it. I guess I don't want it to be over. Plus, I know how sad the finale is. I also paused my Blue Water High rewatch in the middle of the first season because I didn't want to get into the Heath is an idiot episodes. Haha. I could have just skipped them, I guess, but since we now have basic cable again, I've been watching a lot of crime show reruns on television. Not to mention, I finally caught up and finished watching Make It Or Break It, which only served to make me angry because the last few episodes were so obviously rushed, and if they had received a few more, and actually been able to take the girls to the Olympics, it would have been a much better final season. TV execs make me angry so often.

And that's all for now. I have three days off next week instead of two though, so maybe I'll be writing more often. Who knows?

tv, friday five, portrait, cats, dawson's creek, blue water high, falling skies, real life
