Weddings, weddings, everywhere
So, if you know anything about me, you know that when real life frustrates me, I write. And write. And write. I pretty much drown myself in fiction. And with the sheer number of movies I've seen lately (thanks, Mom) that involve engagements, weddings, wedding preparations, etc., I've been inspired. I've started random scribblings of ideas for fanfics that center on wedding weekends. You know, there are those people who make whole events out of the entire process. There are rehearsal dinners and brunches and parties all before the actual ceremony. And someone is always keeping a secret. And there's always someone who doesn't want the wedding to happen. Seriously, such potential for drama and humor. Why have I never thought of writing about the events surrounding a wedding before? No wonder so many romantic comedies feature weddings as a major plot point.
And on that note, I'm off to write until I can't keep my eyes open. Or my laptop overheats. Whichever happens first.
