back to the running

alright
so it sucks that yesterday was so nice and i didn't get out. i blame that on the fact that i was planning on going snowboarding but no one would go with me (whores).
anyways

so today was nice as well, so i went out for a short dog run. woo

Clothing: black hospital pants, Saucony Shoes, sugoi bra, dri fit shirt, running jacket, knit mitts

Temperature: probably about 0 or warmer; i didn't see my breath at all. It was windy at parts, but only a nice breeze. Overall-> perfect winter weather conditions

Route: right on Livingstone (from Anne) left on Sunnidale, left on Anne. {ie. sunnidale cirlce}. I like that route, mostly because its fairly short and flat. I would love to be able to work up to doing laps of that.

Distance: mmm. .good question. Based on the time, maybe 2k ? (i hope it was 2 k)

Time: 17mins. but thats just the run. I didnt really walk it up or out.

Food: A bagel with Cheese Whiz, some orange juice, two oatmeal bars. (re: too much so close to a run) Although i didn't cramp up, it was still uncomfortable

Water: none unless you count the oj for breakfast (should prob have at least 0.5 in me before running)

Good things: I brought Maxx; I forgot how much fun that is. He really helps me run by actually setting a pace that I forced to keep up with. The only downside, is that i still can't really achieve those paces on my own. Meh. Its good for now. The temperature was great, and what I wore kept me at a perfect temperature, and I barely broke a sweat which is always nice. I thought I had a really nice stride, I had no side stiches and I thought my breathing was good even though i was shouting commands to Maxx. Overall, a very good run. I think I should take Maxx out more often. Also, he even made me do a minute kick; damn. .that dog reads minds

Things to Remember: If things are going so well physically, why not challenge myself to a lap around the block or something. Make sure that I come out of the run actually tired (not dead mind you) but things were good enough that I could have convinced myself to go around the block.

Overall: I am happy. running is a good stress reliever. and i like being stress-free. Also, a good way to start off a day
