Dumb dumbs
I don't have much to write about these days. Completely despite my recent life upheaval. So, I decided to look into writing prompts. Something arbitrary to get my brain thinking creatively again. However, in doing so I ran across a GIF essentially stating that the planet seems like a pretty mundane place until you think about how there are 300,000 pound animals swimming in our seas singing songs. Yes, this is true and given the human bent for anthropromorphism rather magical. I have seen quite a few similar memes as of late and i have been like,"yeah! I am a ghost driving a skeleton in a meat suit on a rock in space!" Maybe, though, I feel the need deep down in the wellspring of cynicism that is my soul to be contrary. I am getting tired of the modern agenda that has to dumb everything down to wring some magic out of it ... or to pry our eyelids open and say, " look you fools! Look how wondrous this life is! Look at all the cool shit that exists that you need to have spelled out for you to appreciate! " In a time where people need to be delving into the details and learning to love the minutiae ... people require a reminder for how fucking amazing and ridiculous whales are! Let's be interested in how whales survive off eating an organism we can barely see or how as a species have created objects working with natural laws that we have flung into space. It is disheartening to me how little people care about knowing more. This is the condition that plagues us and it unironically seems to go hand in hand with the rest of our failings.
