I know I haven't exactly been posting much lately anyway, but it's going to be radio silence here for over a week, because when I get home from work tomorrow morning I am basically turning right around and leaving again to embark on a day and a half of traveling back home to Labrador for the first time in 10 YEARS. O_O It will also be my first time seeing my dad since my sister's wedding in Vancouver over three years ago.
Now, flying into Labrador is hideously expensive because it's so damn isolated, but my sister and her husband had enough air miles to book us tickets from Montreal. So, tomorrow I will spend the whole day traveling by bus, first to Toronto and then to Montreal, where I will be meeting up with my sister and her husband at their hotel (they are flying in from Vancouver during the afternoon) near the airport. Bright and early Friday morning we will fly to Wabush, which is the airport in western Labrador.
This will be the first time I will be seeing my seven-month old niece in person! I am excited! XD
So yeah, I will be in Labrador until next Thursday. With all the traveling to get back it will be Friday morning before I am home. And oh, yeah, did I mention that my dad does not have a computer? I AM GOING TO BE WITHOUT INTERNET FOR OVER A WEEK, YOU GUYS. I am not even going to try to deny it: I have a severe internet addiction. This is going to be rough. :( I'm sure I will be able to pop into the public library at least a couple of times to check the basics, but I can hardly park myself there for hours to read fanfic or watch
NJATA concert videos on youtube. THIS MAKES ME SAD. Oh, well. It's still pretty epic to be going home after so long. Though it will be WEIRD, too. I have a feeling it's all going to seem so much SMALLER now. XD I'll have a few essential twitter feeds going to my phone, too, so I won't be completely cut off. *sigh*
It should also be noted that I'll be home for less than 24 hours before I am leaving again, though it will only be for one night, off to Detroit for my own NJATA concert. \o/ And, uh, that less than 24 hour period includes a 12 hour work shift. ^^;;; I am insane.
