It's so amazingly lovely!!! Nice job, mama! I've wanted to make Waldorf dolls, but Eli has ZERO interest in dolls, despite my having bought him one as one of his first toys.

Oh well!

We bought Stuart a doll, Baby Ita (his name choice!), when he was about 18 months old and we were trying to acclimate him to the idea of babies, in general, prior to MaryAlice's birth. He was interested in the doll for a brief while, but MaryAlice has since co-opted it. (Luckily, his fondness for actual babies has persevered). I'm still firmly anti-gender-essentialism. But, sigh. The other day, MaryAlice, wearing sunglasses and a play knight's helmet and carrying one of my old handbags, announced, "I goin' shopping!" Aaaaaahhhh!
