(no subject)
Argh!
I've obviously done something to piss a Higher Power off lately.
Friday it took me 4 hours to drive a journey that should have taken 2 hours 20 mins.
I thought I'd lost my earrings (but found them).
I needed to fill up with petrol on the way home... but for some reason checked in my bag at a set of traffic lights and found I didn't have my wallet on me. Luckily I had enough to get home and should be fine to go to a petrol station first thing tomorrow.
Not to mention my wrist has been aching like heck this week and last, so I have to keep using my wrist brace.
Oh, and let's not forget my insomnia that led to only a couple of hours of sleep on Monday night.
But now?
I was preparing my lunch in the kitchen - I washed some lettuce, shook the water off and had it sitting on the draining board. I started ripping leaves up into smaller pieces to go in my salad when suddenly I get a pain in my right thumb. My first throught is that there's a bug in the lettuce and it's either just stung me or bitten me.
Turns out it was a small piece of glass that pierced my skin and had blood oozing out for ages. I know have a bloody piece of tissue that I was trying to stop the bleeding with (whilst finishing making my lunch).
I have no idea where the glass came from - there were a few small pieces. They were either with the lettuce or someone smashed something earlier and didn't clean up properly after themselves.
(Trying to clean your teeth, when you're right-handed and are avoiding using your thumb to control the brush, is harder than one might think.)
But seriously? Argh!
