I may be the world's slowest reader compared to more or less everyone else on my f-list, but in between doing chores, being at work, graduating and going out, I finally finished reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows earlier today ( Read more... )

DH seems to be a book you either love or hate. heh! i read the leaked copy and then reread the actual book because i scanned over a bunch of stuff the first go round.

Having read it twice then, what did you think of the book? Enjoy it or not?

I have to say, not being involved in HP fandom and not being as obsessed over the books as most other people (I read book 6 last year - a whole 3 years after it was published!) I rather liked it. Except maybe for the names in the epilogue... I mean, really!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought those names were LAME.

I felt sorry for Albus Severus. The poor kid has no chance!!!

If I was Ginny, I'd have put my foot down and said "no! You can name one kid after a parent. Maybe even have the middle name of the other if you really must. But stop trying to name my baby after dead people!!!"

well, i have mixed feelings about it. i thought harry's story was told well but the leap from the end to the epilogue felt huge. it's just odd to go from a 17-yr-old harry to a 30-something guy with kids. i guess that's what fanfic is for. ;p

i was bothered by the remus/tonks subplot and the fact that he had no death scene. remus is my fave character so i'm a bit biased there. i did like that they were all together again (james, lily, sirius and remus). that's how it should be.

but albus severus?? when i read that, i truly believed i was reading somebody's fic. lol
