Tuesday January 3, 12:06 AM At a Club

Jun 19, 2013 08:37

Amanda walked past the long line at the door and right up to the bouncer at the door. She gave him a slow smile as she approached, ignoring the annoyed and angry looks shot her way by the girls who'd been waiting in line for more than an hour to enter the club. "Sen-kun! You're looking fun tonight." She stated, giving the bouncer a good look up and ( Read more... )

((OOC: Yep. I'm still debating between Miki and Elizabeth Midford from Black Butler.))

Amanda didn't bother getting up when they arrived, just waved them to a seat. "Pick out anything you want." She said, giving the guy an appreciative once-over, as though she found him attractive. She didn't really care for what she saw and honestly had little interest in such things, but she'd been acting like a dumb blonde for so long that it was easy to act like the flirty girls she saw at school. She turned her attention to the other girl, her green eyes coolly assessing.

The blonde figured Kanako might be useful, if she straightened up a bit. Especially since Kanako hung out with Yu Ling Tai and the blonde was still planning to get back at that girl for her claims that Leo had raped her and the beating he'd received as a result. She gave both of them an inviting smile and waved the waitress over to the table.

"What would you like?" the waitress asked, pen poised for the orders. The waitress gave the blonde's guests a glance and then looked at the blonde in inquiry. Amanda nodded just slightly, showing the waitress that it was on her bill.

Her eyes narrowed just the slightest at Amanda's look at the guy, maintaining her poker face in the process. She figured the blonde was just trying to steal the guy from her, and was just offering the drink as compensation. The guy didn't matter to Kanako; there were plenty more like him in the crowd tonight. But if the girl thought she was going to get away nicely, she was mistaken. Kanako gave them a small smile before looking at the waitress. "Platinum Passion, please." Turning towards Amanda, "You're too kind." Kanako knew her share of expensive drinks based off past guys she encountered in the past.

Amanda gave Kanako an amused smile, now looking fully at the other girl. Since the other girl didn't seem to recognize her, she decided that she wasn't going to bother with pretending to be stupid like she did at school. "It's no problem, darlin'. A club's not much fun without a little company, after all."

"Ojou-sama...do you want another glass of wine?" The waitress asked, not liking Kanako's attitude. Amanda gave the waitress a mild glance, but nodded once. After that initial glance, the blonde didn't even bother looking at the guy. She was studying Kanako, green eyes calmly assessing.

Kanako didn't recognize Amanda from school. It could've been the substances in her body tonight, or perhaps she wouldn't have expected the Amanda she knew in school to be that same girl that was before her, both in personality and choice of clothing.

She wrapped her thin arms around the guy's arm, pulling herself up to his neck to softly kiss it. She lingered for a moment, letting her breath touch his neck before moving back to her nearby chair. "You come here often?" she asked Amanda.

The blonde's amusement was obvious. Of course she came here, she technically owned the place until the "owner" repaid the loan she'd given.

"I come here about once a month or so." She replied, giving the waitress a smile when she returned with their drinks. The waitress handed her a note along with the glass of wine.

"The owner asked me to give this to you, Ojou-sama." The waitress said softly. Amanda motioned her to stay put and looked at the note. She calmly read through it and nodded once. "Tell him I said yes. The Chianti Classico is fine. It will appeal to visitors from foreign countries, but I would not be able to tell if it will appeal to the regulars."

She glanced at Kanako and then gave her a slight smile. "Perhaps you could tell me if this wine would appeal to the Japanese regulars. You seem to have a refined taste for drinks. It's imported from Italy, so I cannot be sure." She offered her wine glass to the other girl, an eyebrow raised just slightly in inquiry.

Being one to not pass up a free drink, Kanako took the glass. She swirled it in the glass before tasting it. "A bit peppery, but I do like the bold cherry taste it leaves. A little too elegant for those that just come to dance though. You get to pick the drink here? Perhaps the marketer's daughter?"

Amanda nodded, she had already figured, but the place was also a good spot for Yakuza meetings. "Nope. I'm the creditor. The owner didn't qualify for a traditional loan, so he asked me for a favor." She stated, an amused smile on her lips.

Kanako perked up in interest. "Ah so you're a gombeen woman. That explains the servitude treatment. Then we have something in common. I too have monetary interest. Only I go about obtaining it by different means."

"Oh? What type of business do you do, then?" Amanda asked as she sipped her wine. She found that she kind of liked the other girl, though she hadn't expected to.

Kanako giggled, wiggling in her chair. "I probably shouldn't say. It isn't the most appropriate after all," she looked towards the guy, giving him a sly smile.

Amanda glanced at the guy after Kanako did, lifting an eyebrow. She didn't really know what was going on, but she'd seen a similar scene once before. "You're a call girl?" The blonde asked. She didn't actually know what a call girl was, just that they were expensive and her aunt had said polite young ladies pretended they didn't exist.

Kanako sat back in her chair so that she could cross her legs. She wouldn't exactly refer to it as a call girl as most of her contacts she made personally by going out and getting the attention of the boy. She was just good at manipulating cash out of the situation. "Call it what you will, but it pays a lot and I like the attention I get. Most girls hate me or be me, and the guys want to be with me."

Amanda chuckled. She couldn't help it. "Darlin', if girls hate you it's because they only wish they were half as pretty. At least you know what you want and are willing to go for it. Most girls are annoyingly timid and boring."

Kanako loved compliments. She smiled, taking in Amanda's words. She was starting to like this girl. "I rather like those that are timid and boring. They make for good steps in the social ladder," she replied with a chuckle. "You're familiar. Do I know you?"

Amanda grinned at Kanako. "Well, I'm not surprised that I look familiar. We take a few of the same classes at school." She stated mildly. It was more surprising that Kanako hadn't recognized her earlier. Being a foreigner with natural blonde hair and green eyes, Amanda stood out wherever she went.

"I'm Amanda Sawada. You might know my last name as Evers though. Even the teachers forget that I was adopted recently." The rueful smile showed that she sometimes forgot about her name change as well.

The muted colors and images in Kanako's influenced vision began to align with her memories of class. "Amanda!" she said, drawing out the name teasingly. "Aiyiyi, look at you!" She punctuated every word as she took in the blonde's outfit. "I wouldn't have ever thought I'd see you dressed so sexy." She giggled. "I don't recall you being so fun in school."
