Why can't the past stay barried? Part 2
As the vailed woman runsthrough the back she catches a glimpse of a turned over and burning car in front of the church, no doubt the source of the explosion. Nearby there are two figures looking towards the church. They aren't immortal but they seem to be searching for something or rather someone. As their heads turn in her direction she ducks behind a grave stone 'Here Lies our beloved Mother Irene Filmore'.
Her breathing hard as her heart beats quickly in her chest. Tossing the vail aside she chances a glance back, the two seem to have moved on, no longer in sight Amanda is both relieved and worried. Sometimes it's better to know where the hunter is.
Carefully she makes her way to the other side of the cemetary behind the church. When she gets there she is suprised to find that one of them is waiting for her, she can't tell if this is one of the men she saw before or yet another as they had been too far away. Gun raised pointed at point blank range at her head she raises her hands regaining her cool.
"You don't really want to do this. I'm sure we can work something out." without a word he takes a step forward and the cool metal from the barrel rests against her head. "Guess not." she takes a step backwards. The sound of shoes pounding on the pavement resounding as reinforcements arrive. A short stout man comes up behind her grabing her arms but the moment he does so she swings around puttin ghim between her and the gun. A shot is fired but after kicking the stout man into the other taller gent she started to run. A second shot resounds and she can feel a sering pain in her shoulder. Hand clasping the injury she finds her way to the crowdd streets and blends into the crowd ducking into the tube. Hoping to get lost in a sea of strangers. Though strangers wont help her she needs help. And there aren't many here that would be willing.
She considers going back to the flat to try to find Shufti and the door to Milliways but decides that she doesn't want to chance putting Shufti and her son into such danger. NO she will have to find help here in her world and at the moment there is only one person that she can think of that could help her the question is will he?
