So, dental surgery sucks. A lot.
My plan of staying up all night last night failed, and I crashed at about 12...Didn't even get to watch Conan! It made me sad. So, I got up at about 6:05 this morning, got ready, took out my piercings and was at the dentist just before 7. I got in the room, and sat in the dentist's chair waiting for Dr. Colin to come in. I ended up having to take off my long sleeve shirt underneath my t-shirt, because they had to hook me up to the heart monitor. Turns out my heart rate was 99 because I was nervous, and the blood drained from my hands, and they were so cold, which didn't help what came next.
Dr. Colin: Stupid wisdom teeth!
Haha it was cute. So, after I changed and was all hooked up, then came the inevitable needle. As amazing as Dr. Colin is, he tried 7 times on my left arm and 4 times on my right arm, and STILL could not find a vein for the IV. That sucked. Especially when he tried to dig deep to find one. I mean it was nothing unbarable, and needles don't really bother me much anymore, but it was kind of annoying that he couldn't find one. So, they couldn't put me to sleep. I really wanted them to, but they couldn't. Instead, he gave me some oral medication that was supposed to blur my vision, make me tired, and more or less do the same thing as an IV, without knocking me totally out. The normal dose is 1 pill, so he gave me 2 to see if it could knock me out. On top of that, he put like a gallon of freezing in the left side of my face. Well, the pills didn't even affect me until I got home and just wanted to go to bed. I was like a little shaky, but nothing really noticeable.
Now, all the freezing has come out, and so it feels just like any other time freezing comes out, only twice as bad, 3 times as swollen, and 4 times as bloody and gross. It's so unbelieveably shitty. I've already taken 2 of 3 doses of all my medication that I need to take today. I can barely open my mouth, I'm not allowed to spit or rinse out my mouth, and it's driving me nuts. Uggggh.
