That is beautiful! It all flows really well togather! and the colors really look good togather as well.
What did she charge you for this if you dont mind me asking?, I'm not 100% happy with my background actualy, I dont think its blended very well, my artist said he would fix whatever i needed fixed for free plus touch up, but im not sure im even going to go back there.
which is sort of a shame having to pay another 300 bucks to get it fixed when i should have had it right in the first place. I think i found a really good female artist anyway, which would be cool because i've never had a female work on me before. I have a couple other tattoos. I could post them if you want, i'll just throw them in those comments on my entry. How fun sharing tattoos yay!
What is your other one?? and whats the story behind it?

I have to say i am in LOVE with your upcoming project,
not sure who trooper is but those lyrics have a lot of meaning to me as well.

Some of my favorite lyrics i have thought about getting are " bury your anger and bury your dead or you'll be left with nothing and no one " by Ozzy Osbourne. But its a bit long and i have noooo clue where i would put it.

I'm just going to keep the idea in my head for a few more years probably, although really want to get an ozzy portrait. Which you always gotta be picky and look around a lot to find an artist to do such work.
I think i did find the guy i want to do it though, Hes amazing, he is in spokane where my mom lives, I came across him last summer. I was thinking of getting it on my ribs, which is another big commitment, not only will it be expensive but im sure the pain will be something to get through. But I think thats part of what makes tattoos special, its like you have to ' earn ' them by sitting through them. I will say though, my arm didnt rreally hurt, least painful tattoo so far for sure.

what did you think of the pain??

I have some on my feet that realllly hurt. haha i will show ya.

YAY for tattoos!! :)
Ummm, the "shop rate" is supposed to be $150/hour. But last session, I sat for 4.5 hours, and Kat only charged me $250!! It was right around Christmas, and I love her to bits, so I tipped her $100. I think the most I've paid for a sitting was $500. So I mean, it's been really reasonable!! YES!! Please post your other tattoo pics on your entry... I'll pop over and see if they're up yet after I post this.
My other tattoo is an "astrolux"... It has no real meaning to me, other than it's a symbol one of my favourite bands (Strung Out) uses on their CD's and album artwork. I think it's just a really rad symbol, and I'm glad I picked it to be my first tattoo, although I wasn't overly jazzed with the work to begin with either.
I've only gotten tattooed by female artists, not on purpose, but I don't plan on getting tattooed by anyone else other than Kat for a while. The Trooper song is called "Here for a good time, Not a long time", LoL. It's an old-school, kinda pop-ish song, that reminds my Mother & I of her Mom. When my Grandma was sick and passing away, we'd here that song at the strangest of times, driving to the hospital, that sort of thing. And now, when there is anything monumental going on in our lives, we always seem to hear it, and know my Grandma is with us! :) But after meeting Tim, and the world of CF being opened up to me, "Here for a good time, Not a long time" has a lot more meaning. Now if only I could decide what kind of script to get?!
That is a long quote (Go Ozzy!), but also very meaningful!! You could get it running up your arm, from wrist to armpit? Or down your leg... Or even down your ribs?! Just some thoughts! If you end up with the Ozzy portrait on your ribs, you could include it in that piece? And I wish you could see my Kathy. She does AMAZING portraits! Some are in her online portfolio, but she's done a ton more, and they're really rad!! And yes, ribs will be painful... My next piece (three awareness ribbons with some swirly background shit, still just a concept in my mind though) will be on my ribs. You'll have to let me know how bad it really is!!
Your feet, OMG!! LoL... I've heard that pain is gnarly!! My first sitting a girl was getting her foot tattooed next to me. I was like "It isn't that bad, is it? I mean, you've had kids right?!" and she was like "I've had kids, and this is worse!", LoL. Ummm, my first tattoo was whatev for pain. Your calf is really fatty, so it didn't hurt too bad. My arm though, man... The first few sittings were pretty good, really tolerable. This last sitting though... After 3.5 hours, I just about tapped out. But I didn't, I persevered. Kat and I talked about it, and she figures spots really do get more sensitive the more you get tattooed there, so I'm glad it's just about done... It was pretty bad.
Anyways, I'm lovin' all this tattoo chat, LoL. I'm gonna run and see if you posted those pics yet! Talk to you soon Meg... Lasers :)
