Both characters are difficult and prickly but with a weird passion lying not far below the surface.

People tend to have extreme feelings about Janeane Garofalo.

I used to like her, until she traded in her comedy microphone for a soap box. If I wanted political messages, I'd be watching CNN, for the Comedy Channel.
