New community.
This only really works for some of you, but this is the fastest way to get it out.

On April 2, 2006, my husband Tianyu, took his life. I was pregnant, and so our daughter Viola has never met her father. This community is designed to be a collecting net for stories or observations about her father. This community will archive these recollections in book format as well as disk.
Entries may be of any length, and you may post as many of them as you like as long as this community is in operation, which may be forever, I guess.
Entries may include anything you wish to say. They may be stories, short anecdotes, recipes, pictures, sound files and movie files. All files will be downloaded and saved to disk with the adjoining entry. I have a few pieces of Tianyu's writing that will be posting. Also welcome are old emails or saved chats with Tianyu, or song lyrics, writings, poetry etc. That you remember being of interest for Tianyu himself.
As Viola's mother and maintainer of this community:
1. I will never edit your story for content or anything else. Viola will get it exactly as you have posted it.
2. Reiterating the above, I do not care about content. Feel free to use whatever language you like, and describe anything you like. Stories with "adult content" will be held back until Viola is of the appropriate age, if necessary.
This community will have moderated membership, and when you post you will have the option to lock the entry to the members only. Any discussion that takes place in the comments of this community might also be saved, should be be deemed relevant.
Please share this community with any who might be interested in sharing memories of Tianyu. We will allow reposted comments from those who choose to act for a third party who may not have a livejournal.
Any comments or observations that you feel are too personal to share even in a closed community may also be given to me in confidence. I am choosing to remain as neutral as possible for the sake of the actual mission itself, which is to preserve as much of Tianyu as I can for Viola.
