this was... this was really really wonderfully written.. i lost my father to suicide a year ago. he jumped into a well. and.. im sorry for being so inarticulate. but the lines about not needing to forgive him and him respecting his choice but feeling a little warning would have been appreciated, they were exactly what i felt too. the need to avoid the place where he died and the dread of having to have to tell people over and over that he died, and receiving sympathy and questions all struck a chord. Hearing my mother say the same thing that Hermione repeats everyday,

"You know he was crazy," Hermione says softly. "He wasn't thinking."

He doesn't say anything because she repeats this every day, also followed by: "He wasn't in his right mind."

but what caused me to cry the most was this,

The first thing he would do, without a doubt, is grab onto Harry and clutch him, and maybe they would fall to the ground, and then maybe in about five years he'd think about letting go.

This is amazing and gorgeous, heartbreaking and bittersweet. There's an ache in my chest, something which only happens rarely with fanfic. It's a good ache, but an ache nonetheless. Thank you for writing this.
