Dec 27, 2004 20:41

it's the survey... cazz and liz have both done it... I DARE YOU TO TRY! muuuuhaahahaha

what did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
i invested in a very good push up bra that actually has no padding! yay!

did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
i don't like those. overall, every year i just want to be a better person.

did anyone close to you give birth?
yes, a close family friend and a second cousin

did anyone close to you die?
yes

what countries did you visit?
just the good old US... but very soon London 05' will change that!

what would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
liz's answer seems good: "a theater related job this summer" but also money.

what date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
a lot, but definately one of the best moments was having all of the people i love (minus a few college people across the country) here for a big night. the summer cabaret. all of my family and friends, with some surprises. definately a great feeling and reassurance for what i am doing with my life.

what was your biggest achievement of the year?
finally got to see my name on a cast list... but since wagner is retarded anyway i don't consider that much of an achievement... sometimes it seems like the man sitting on the corner can get cast... ummm big achievement for real... it was cool to start a brand new job with brand new people (minus tom that is) this summer. OMG i totally forgot! LADIES' NIGHT 04!!!! huge accomplishment for all of us girls and for anyone who ever wanted to find a way to perform and student produce on a college campus. we made something out of nothing and now many students are following our lead.

what was your biggest failure?
not getting a summer stock or theatre job

did you suffer illness or injury?
sinus infection, allergies, and now a cold. but nothing too serious, so AMEN!

what was the best thing you bought?
up until mid December i would have said my pointy shoes from payless... but a hard day/night in the city has proven that statement to be horribly wrong so i will say 3rd row seats to see movin' out with my mom for her birthday. best decision ever.

whose behavior merited celebration?
my mom. she has been there for me through everything this semester... really the only person i could REALLT count on always no matter what.

whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
the list is way too long... let's just say i found myself disappointed a lot by people i never thought could disappoint me.

where did most of your money go?
not "most" but ALL went to the london fund... i am CLEANED out... but it will be worth it right?

what did you get really, really, really excited about?
LONDON!!!! still am! hahaha but no let's think 2004 more... oh definately the "real world CT" roadtrip to amy's resort of a house.

what song will always remind you of 2004?
walk away - ben harper, thanks to amy. those guitar chords just sound like '04 to me

compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? wiser.

ii. thinner or fatter? same. (i think i WAS thinner until i came home for christmas and started to eat again)

iii. richer or poorer? much poorer

what do you wish you'd done more of?
flirting. not enough... but then again not enough boys...

what do you wish you'd done less of?
waiting.

did you fall in love in 2004?
not even close.

how many one-night stands?
haha i wish i could be that emotionally un-attached.

what was your favorite tv program?
definately will and grace as always... not much time for TV but we got into the OC sorta too... ok jen pulled me in with her... i can't help it i like the dark-haired boy!

do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
as my great uncle and jesus once said (no jesus isn't my great uncle, i meant 2 different people) "you should never hate anyone" but i will replace "hate" with "strongly dislike" and report that someone affectionately known as big red has moved out of that category and into the "tolerable" category. there are a few others that have taken her place though....

what was the best book you read?
ooo this is hard... i got really into nicholas sparks this summer so definately any of those. but i must say both of the jennifer weiner novels, "good in bed" and "in her shoes" SOOOOOOOO GOOD and so true. she takes bridget jones and sets it in philly and her girls arent size zero blondes... so amen. i recommend them both.

what was your greatest musical discovery?
jason mraz live DVD..... sexy

what did you want and get?
cast on the mainstage.(well not until the end of '04 but it still managed to happen!)

what did you want and not get?
so many things... a boy. strengthened relationships, i wanted a lot more out of an acting teacher, the list could go on, but everything happens for a reason.

what was your favorite film of this year?
i didn't go to the movies very much... but i loved garden state... strangely enough i have to say anchorman too cause i hadnt laughed that hard in a really long time and it felt good... i also have to say the passion because it was incredibly moving and somehow shouldnt even be in this "film" category... especially not next to anchorman hahahaahhaah

what did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
party in the coffeehouse to celebrate me an leanne's birthdays!!! (wow i almost forgot about that) and i turned 20.

what one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
certain situations with people/relationships... having a boy would have changed it all, especially one who would understand me and be there for me all the time.

how would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
taking the trends but putting my own spin on them... if it isn't me i won't do it and i think that was key this year... i was very true to myself.

what kept you sane?
my mom. jen. saro.

which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
hmmm idina... she finally got what she deserved, and she did it with such grace.

what political issue stirred you the most?
the tragic state of this country (particularly in some close-minded idiots who voted for-) oops i told myself i wouldn't do this....

who did you miss?
my granny.

who was the best new person you met?
hahaha hands down this one is easy... RO RO CAPOOT!!!!!

tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004.
liz touched upon this but one word: CHANGE. as amy would say (quoting "Where the Heart" is mind you) "our lives can change with every breath we take." sometimes stuff just doesnt work out. and sometimes you have to learn things about people that you just wish you never had to... but you have to. because it's truth. and once you know these things you can better understand your life a little... make any sense? basically i learned that there will be tough times and i might just get through them alone and turn out ok.

quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
"we are always what our situations hand us, it's either sadness or euphoria." - summer highland falls, billy joel

if you made it this far, i love you...
GOODBYE 2004... HELLO '05 AND LONDON..... it has to get better this year.
