Mortal Kombat Redemption (part 1)
The screen fades in as Scorpion delivers the fatal blow to Onaga. An explosion of power exspells from Onaga sending Scorpion flying hard against the wall. He awakens confused as he is standing in the Nexus with Onaga's dead body next to him. Scorpion stands up and looks around.
Scorpion - What more do you want from me? Have I not done everything you requested of me?!
Shadowy Figure - Who are you talking to?
Scorpion - Show yourself.
Shujinko steps out to into Scorpion's feild of vision. Scorpion on instinct readies himself for a fight.
Shujinko - I have beaten you once before, what makes you think you would stand a chance this time?
Scorpion - Because the Elder Gods now guide me. I am their champion. I have done what you could not.
Shujinko - Then show me what you have then ... champion.
An epic battle ensued. Neither kombatant gaining an advantage. They fought for 3 days and 3 nights, nearly tearing apart the Nexus in the process. Suddenly a bolt of lightning streaked down from the sky between the two fighters. Then Lord Raiden stood where the bolt had struck.
Raiden - Stop this both you you. The Dragon King is dead there is no need for this.
Shujinko - But he has told me that he is the champion of the Elder Gods. Is this true Lord Raiden?
Raiden - Yes Shujinko. You have fullfilled your obligations to us. You can leave.
Shujinko starts to leave. As he passes by Scorpion he stops and gets nose to nose with him.
Shujinko - I have one question for you ... champion. What was your purpose in life?
Scorpion - I was brought back to seek revenge on the man who killed my family.
Shujinko - And did you?
Scorpion - Yes, and I got my revenge. Why do you ask?
Shujinko - Well it strikes me odd that if that was your purpose, why are you still here? Should you not have returned to your grave? Could it be you did not find the man who killed your family?
Scorpion - What are you getting at mortal?
Shujinko then steps back and freezes Scorpion's feet to the ground.
Shujinko - You see in my youth I was once a memeber of the Lin Kuei. I did several tasks for them including some minor cleaning up of their messes.
Scorpion slowly comes to realize just what Shujinko is talking about and whips his spear out at him. Shujinko sidesteps the spear and grabs the rope and narrows his eyes. He pulls out his sword and cuts the rope. Scorpion then looks around trying to find where Raiden has gone during all of this. From behind Raiden pulls out Scorpion's sword.
Shujinko - You see Scorpion you are a pawn in all of this. I could not obtain the final Kamidogu myself, I let Onaga do that for me. And I knew he could only be killed by the champion of the Elder Gods. So I had one named. Now ...
Raiden - We have but one last task.
Raiden then sticks Scorpion's sword through his back, jammming it all the way through his stomach. Raiden then summons forth lightning from his inner self and focuses it into his hands.
Shujinko - We shall remake the realms in our vision.
Raiden - No more listening to you mortal always asking me to do things for you. We shall rule over all.
Shujinko - Any last words ... champion?
Raiden then grabs the sword unleashing all the electrical energy through the sword. Turning Scorpion to a pile of ash. The screen fades out as Shujinko picks up the last Kamidogu and he & Raiden walk towards the Earthrealm portal.
Scorpion - What more do you want from me? Have I not done everything you requested of me?!
Shadowy Figure - Who are you talking to?
Scorpion - Show yourself.
