And then, she slept. I woke up today actually feeling rested. It defintely helped that I'd cleared my bed off a little... but I woke up, having had the loveliest, calmest dreams.
My room was cool last night too! 75º according to my window fan. It definitely made a difference.
I went to go and see "Curtains" on Broadway with my Dad and Ruth last night, and I was reminded how much I love going to the theatre. The show didn't feel like it had a lot of substance, but it was very cute and catchy. David Hyde Pierce from Frasier played one of the leads, a cop that is nothing like any of the roles I've seen him in. And he was good!
Dinner beforehand was also good -- at a little restaurant on 46th between 8th and 9th avenue (like every restaurant in the theatre district) but it was hidden away in a townhouse and had a garden in the back, nestled away from the hustle and bustle. And if I can ever remember the name, I'll edit this entry.
Edit: My dad informs me that the name of the restaurant is
Barbetta I'm going to mention very briefly that I worry for my father. But I know he (occasionally) reads this LJ, so that's all I'm going to say.
Overall, it was a lovely night.
Today is shaping up to be busy too; lunch with Lana, dinner with
infd and possibly others ... but I'm keen to plan other things too.
Namely, various Ren Faires, and possibly a trip to Six Flags before the season ends. So, keeping in line of the LJ-Social Poll (winks at
rosefox)
Go to the poll here: LJ Hates Me noranac and I will see Superbad next week. Woo.
