One day closer to the New Year
Well, today was a day. I ended up being quite distracted over this & that - never really able to sit down & focus. Tomorrow is a new day, so wish me luck.
We have our team White Elephant exchange tomorrow. I have nothing. I was going to grab something during lunch, but got distracted. Now I'm up shit creek. I don't even have anything lying around the house that I feel would be appropriate. I have these liqueurs I don't really care for, but that's not exactly work appropriate. I was going to give away this book on Containers & Container Ships, but Ty said I should sell it on Half instead. It's new, in stores, for $70. But who exactly wants a book on Containers & Container Ships? Global Logistics isn't exactly a popular topic among today's up & coming youth.
I went through my books & movies ... and this & that. The only thing I came up with was my crocheted Santa. The big deal to me is, I did this all last-minute last year, too, and I'd like to actually show some effort and WRAP the gift. Ya know? I don't want to be one of those ppl who brings in a Starbucks gifcard in a Starbucks bag "OK! Guess what it is?!" Duh, Starbucks you dumb shit. Don't get me wrong, I love Starbucks! Those little giftcards are like fucking GOLD in these parts of town.
But I mean, really ... that takes no thought or time or effort. But then again, it is just work, isn't it?
Anyhoo, back to relaxin' (TV! & crocheting).
