I'm feeling kinda jerky about calling in today. But I had to make that call. I've got a little car and there are two major hills on Rte 139 between here and work that I have had trouble traversing in snow in the past. So I had to deem today a personal day because I wanted me and my car to stay in one piece.

Y'know what would make you feel better. Playing in the snow with your puppy!

Besides, staying in one piece is a lot safer than braving the roads during a snowstorm.

I did go out and play with him. He loves this stuff! He keeps pouncing on it back and forth. It's adorable.

I know how you feel. However, I am at work today cause if we don't show, we don't get paid. Reguardless if we're sick for real or not. Yay for health care!

Yeah...that sux. But I also hate wasting a personal day on snow. Especially since you know there will be more storms.

I called in too. I woke up like around 6.30 and took a look outside and the roads looked crappy, and I live on a pretty busy street too, so if thats an indication of the rest of the roads I said no. That snowstorm that we had on a thursday it took me like an hour and a half to get home, so I figured it'd be best to stay in.

Bob was actually nice enough to let us come in late. Even if he didn't I'd have been in late because I had to clean off my car and dig myself out- and our stupid snowblower is broken. Luckily we have a nice neighbor who comes over and helps since my dad can't do much. I don't think more than 5 people were out- I was surprised.
