This was very enjoyable and action-packed (which is rare these days - perhaps because we don't get a lot of really good, long stories anymore) and very well-written to boot. Also loved the wit and banter, and the way you used humor to call-back to the the old X-Files universe - well done. Beyond this, I think my Mulder-Scullys should set a play-date with your Mulder-Scullys, because I think they'd all have a smashing good time.

Do you realize how much shit would get broken, though? It would be a disaster. :)
I'm really glad the bigbang got people writing longer--even if the results were mixed (some great! some OK. some...not), it's great just to see it happening.
Aw, I'm so glad you liked it. If you're interested in the making of Sadie/Casey, I'm planning on writing more in this universe, because I, um, may have gotten a little obsessed with it over the past few months.
I have no idea if she has a canon middle name--in my head, it's Graciela. ;)
(I have the comment window open on your story...still trying to find the right words, though.)
OK, I have to know--who/what did you think Casey might be before the big reveal? Because the goal was to make her Mysterious and Threatening, in a vague sort of way, but I want to know how she ended up getting read. *g*

Simply amazing! So much to love in this fic. Loved the established characters. Great M&S banter and interrelationships. Loved adolescent Will and the quiet geekiness you gave him. Maggie Scully was excellent - strong but not simperingly perfect like in many fics. Of course, Casey was simply amazing.
Most of all, thanks for not making the Van de Kamps into Star Trek red shirts. They were strong and loving parents to their son and willing to fight and die for him.
So much to love! Can't wait to read it again at a more leisurely pace.
Oh wow. Amal, this is amazing. I've just finished reading and I love it. Casey/Sadie is such an amazing character and I can't wait to read more of her. My heart broke a little when I read about Mulder dying, in the 'original' timeline - and for Sadie to grow up without knowing her dad? For Scully to be apart from him? Oh man, I was in tears. The funny thing is when I saw her call id (love the nod to CSM by the way) I thought Cassandra Scully-Mulder but didn't twig that it was Sadie - great piece of writing about her.
I really loved this fic. I know I've said that before, but it's colonisation, apocalyse, end of the world stuff that reads like it could be XF3. My only criticism is I want more!
Yeah, the angst this ending hints at is pretty epic. I'm glad the CSM callsign twigged you that Something Was Up, without immediately tripping you over into OH I KNOW WHO SHE IS! I was worried about getting the balance right.

It's almost 3am here so I'm going to defer, you know, actual feedback until I trust myself to type properly, but holy crap.
Also Emily sends kittythanks for keeping me up and thus extending the normal hours in which she can climb all over my laptop and demand attention.

1a) HI KITTEH.
2) Looking forward to hearing what you thought, beyond holy crap, which I'm assuming is a good thing. :)
