My baby is growing!!!
Miss Emma decided that she wanted to start walking on Friday night. We were watching Where the Wild Things Are and she was taking 1 step inbetween the couch and the chair. Chris and I just let her practice and build her confidence. After the other kids went to get their jammies on we sat on the floor to see if she would take a step or two between us. She decided that 4-5 steps was a good idea. When the kids came back down they were SOOOOO excited! They had to call my parents immediately to share the exciting news! So on Saturday she kept letting go of the furniture and taking a couple steps and then she would loose her balance, so she would crawl to where she wanted to go. Today she figured out that if she is losing her balance, she can squat down and she won't fall. She is taking 5-6 steps consistently and letting go and trying to walk before crawling. I knew that it would come fast at this point, but WAH!!!!! my baby is growing up! It is so exciting to watch her and see how proud she is to be able to be like the rest of us. She is learning so much and is so observant.
