HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYBODY!!! I hope everyone had an excellent Christmas and is gearing up for an exciting New Year's! I've been in Europe for about 10 days now, and it's been AWESOME. Since my adventures are too numerous to put into paragraph form (it would probably be as long as a book), I'm just going to make a list of the most exciting things I've done over the past few weeks. So here goes!
1. Drove up into the Scottish highlands and met Hamish the Highland Cow (he says "Mooooo" and enjoys salad)
2. Visited Stirling Castle and the William Wallace monument in Scotland
3. Drove from Stirling, Scotland to London and took the Eurostar train under the English Channel from London to Paris!
4. Was in Paris for Christmas!!
5. Visited the Louvre for the third time (definitely worth it)
6. Went to Sacre-Coeur and Montmartre, and saw the park where part of the movie Amelie was filmed! Also stumbled upon Les Deux Moulins, the cafe where Amelie works in the film.
7. Saw the Moulin Rouge (just the outside, but still...)
8. Went to Christmas Mass in Notre Dame! (I'm not Catholic, but I'm still a Christian, I think, and it was really nice!)
9. Went to St. Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey (second time), and Buckingham Palace in London
10. Saw The Phantom of the Opera, live at Her Majesty's Theatre in London!
11. Saw the movie "The Holiday", which is sooooo good and everyone should go see it now! YAY!
12. I saved the best for last...Regena and I saw the musical Wicked live at the Apollo Victoria Theatre in London, and Elphaba was played by Idina Menzel (who premiered the role on Broadway and was also in Rent, both the musical and the movie)! Point being, she's very famous in the theatre world, so this was a BIG DEAL. She was absolutely amazing! After the show, we waited outside and got all the important cast members' autographs, including Idina! We also got great pictures of them all.
I am now back in Scotland, where I'll be for New Year's, and then we leave for Barcelona on January 2nd! It's going to be so totally kick-ass! But yeah, it's pretty late and Regena probably wants her computer back. Hehe. Hasta later!
