All right, so, I've been browsing all of the AIESEC traineeships, and I think I want to go to Africa this summer! And not just Egypt--this is, like, AFRICA Africa! As in Kenya, Zimbabwe, or Uganda! They have this really awesome-sounding program that's being implemented across the continent, and it involves increasing community awareness about HIV/AIDS. This is a topic that I'm incredibly interested in, and I think it would be an amazing experience. I just called my mom, and she okayed the idea, so it looks like I'm going to start applying!!! I am very excited.
Other developments...I missed Grey's Anatomy tonight because I was working on my AIESEC applications with Danielle, our exchange participant coordinator. She invited me to the library to help me out, and then she proceeded to be negative help. I asked her a question about the form, and she was like, "Um, I have a project due at midnight, so could you try and not ask me questions?" !!!!! I wanted to smack her. It's her JOB to help me, and it was her idea! So now I probably screwed up the damn application because I was too afraid to ask her for any more help. Grrrr.
Let's see...on Friday, my months of waiting ended, and I got to see Ice Age: The Meltdown! Pure cinematic genius, I tell you. It was pretty sweet. I would pay the $7.00 again just to see the final scene with Scrat in acorn heaven. And the pole-vaulting bit, because that was just about the most hilarious thing ever. Oh God, I love those movies. Afterwards, Regena and I rented Erin Brockovich, one of my favorite movies, and it made me happy. Hehehe.
This weekend went by so quickly...it's sad. Tomorrow I have bunches o' stuff to do, including an SHS presentation that my group is SO not prepared for. Heh heh. Hasta bigote!!!
