went to springfest right on the suwannee river what an experience.... got there what a beautiful site! didnt have to pay anything because we signed up for volunteering... we were standing up there to get our volunteer hours, the girl was like- well we dont really have any shifts open but the 8-midnight shifts (aka good concert time sheet) and then this guy popped down from heaven and said "oh just give them the 4-8 shift Friday and dont give them anything else" Carly looked at me and we both jumped up and down. so we found THE BEST campsite... right next to the bathrooms and only a 5 i repeat 5 minute walk to the stages!!!! the intensity starts to escalate at this point... the sun falls towars the horizon and the rain follows... then the lightning. it must have been having a good time because it didnt stop until there was a river flowing through our tent. till there were busses floating. till the stages were unaccecible without the aide of pontoon boats. trees fallen down, $50,000 of equiptment ruined.. and when the sun decided to peek from the clouds the next afternoon shouts of glee and halaluiahs filled the air with glee amidst the frogs and crickets....
the show went on but inside.. but all was well.. i hugged my favorite band member and had a conversation with him because he was just walking around... we saw another favorite and talked to him- later in the afternoon he came up to us and gave us a free cd... donna the buffallo played and my feet became two individuals- two of the happiest individuals i have ever encountered... i swirled and twirled underneath the dreadlocks of individuals(many people had dreads almost down to their knees!)... made lots of friends.....what a concert... that is all i can say... not only great music but it was a time for peace harmony community and memories... cant wait for the magnolia fest to roll around.
