Internet was gone. Is now found.
Cost quite a bit to get it replaced.
In the meantime, was sad to hear Satoshi Kon bought the farm.
But enjoyed Scott Pilgrim movie.
Still has no job. Still has no way out of shithole flat. Still has not heard back from 2000 AD.
Xbox was fixed (red ring is dead ring).
Bought Arkham Asylum on the cheap to celebrate

I am also sorry you are a) unemployed and b) in a bad apartment. I have been/am in both situations, and both perform oral sex. Noisily and badly.

Apropos of a recent entry of mine...how can I put this? You're an exceptionally bright guy who should be CREATING something. You're smart, you're well read, and you can write. But the British woods are full of smart, well-read guys who can write: you, Mitts, Self, Amis, Hitchens, our Furry Commie Nazi friend, ad infinitum. What sets you--or any of the others--apart?

I think you have the potential to do something terrific, but I don't know what it is. A critical blog that will determine the voting for the Booker? A graphic novel that will make Moore hide his (ugly) face? A comic novel that will put Lodge and Elton to shame? A sci-fi novel that will make Ballard look the amateur he was (and he was, you know)?

Maybe I'm overestimating you. Maybe I'm over-impressed by the literacy and wit of Britons of your vintage, which is so far ahead of Americans of the same age. I don't really know what (if anything) excites you or moves you. But whatever that thing is, you should take it and put it together with your writing and take both of them as far as you damned well can before you're too old and it's too late. I'm older than you and I blew a few chances when I was your age, and I still regret it. So nem de gelt, boychick. Take while you still got hands, as Abe Reles said.
