Puzzle Review

Okay, so I broke down and listened to Puzzle ><;;
I told myself to wait until I got mine, but I couldn't handle it!
I watched the pvs first (since they don't count as a part of the album XD;; ) and OMG.
They are amazing!
The first one I watched was Kicyu, and I was a little disappointed with it being animated, but the song totally made up for it!
It's catchy as hell, and every time the chorus comes around, I catch myself doing the little hand movements the little characters do ^^;;
I wish it was a song on the album because it's so great~
Then I watched Glorious.
For one, I was surprised it was all in English.
I may be mistaken, but I think it's the first song Eito has done completely in English.
It's very mellow and low key, but the pv is really good.
You get to see a sleeping Ryo and a Tacchon drinking coffee and a Baru rubbing an apple on his shirt XD
(...that's kind of all I came away from that pv...>>;; )
Finally, I watched you can see and HOLY CRAP.
The concept of the pv alone is enough for me, but the song itself is amazing!
The pv blew me away!
At first I was all WTH fans? but as it progressed, it completely made sense.
I love how they contrasted Eastern and European items;
Rose petals, cherry blossoms. Gun, sword. Sake, coffee.
It's so deep.
The only thing I disliked about it was Hina's decision to wear Western clothes D<
Yeah, he looked amazing in the vest suit, but it ruined the concept!!
But, despite the wardrobe malfunction, it was a great pv.

After watching the pvs, I  couldn't restrain myself and I listened to the album...
I really love it.
It has the A-side single songs, and unheard songs, and the solo songs again!
There are so many songs, and each one sounds so much different from the others!
I won't go indepth with each song since nobody would want to read that, but I think my favorite song of the album is ブリュレ.
It was the first song on the album that really caught my attention
Also, I totally didn't expect パズル to be what it was.
I was anticipating a great upbeat song much like Wahhahha or Zukkoke Otokomichi, but I was pleasantly surprised.
It kind of shows that Kanjani8 isn't all about laughs and being stupid
(I don't really know what the song is about, so if it is one of those 'we sound solemn, but we're actually making fun of you mother' songs, disregard the above statement, i suck cocks.)
I can certainly see why this song was picked to headline the album.
It's so great~

As for the solos, I love ワンシャン・ロンピン, no-no-no,and 413man.
Most of them are really great (I say most for a reason D<).
And I love how they kept the Zukkoke Daidassou tradition of giving each member their own little song.
The only one I can barely stand to listen to is Subaru's solo song.
I read his little tv guide explanation of words, and it sounds just as last minute and rushed as he made it out to be.
The vocals are shoddy and he doesn't even try to get the piano to compliment him.
Everytime it comes on, I just stare at my screen in disbelief.
You would think someone would step in and tell him to redo it or something.
It is truly unbearable and my ears ache after eachtime I listen to it.
Don't get me wrong, I love Baru's voice and how unique it is, but I will not stand by and pretend like this is a good song.
And if anyone says otherwise I will stab them in the lungs with a sodering iron.

But, besides words, the album was fantastic~
I can't wait to get mine in the mail ^O^

kanjani8, puzzle
