Popcorn Kernal > Rawhide Bones
So, I bought these rawhide dog bones for my dad's dogs when I was in Hattiesburg. They're coated in this meat sauce and wrapped in dried duck meat. My dad's dogs go crazy for them. I was a tard though, and left them in the trunk of my car and so drove home with them. I thought, hey, I'll bring them to work and see if Peanut (Kelly the IT guy's chihuahua) likes them!
No go. Peanut sniffs at the one I put down for her like it's some sort of alien thing, gives me a look like, "What the hell am I supposed to do with that?" and then instead, chews on a stray popcorn kernal she finds on the floor of the kitchen. The little bone has been on the floor for two days now, untouched.
I'd think it might just be too big for her, but I keep getting flashes of my sister Alayna's pughuaha (half pug, half chihuahua) Dia, who's only a little bigger (mostly in girth) than Peanut gnawing a big ol Ox joint bone thing that my other sister Andrea had bought for her pit bull Domino. That thing was bigger than Dia's whole body. Plus, Peanut loves to drag around, play with and 'kill' a rope toy that's bigger than she is (longer anyway).
No, I'm thinking it's not the size. Must just be that she doesn't like the flavor of it. Or, maybe popcorn kernals are just way tastier than rawhide bones! LOL
Besides puppy oddities, I've had a fairly boring day so far today. Got my phone switched out cause it developed this thing where the screen would go black and not come back on unless I hit the music button. It was really annoying when it would happen while I was typing a text or trying to enter a new phone number into the contacts or something. So, I took it to AT&T and apparently that model phone has that issue a lot cause once I described the problem, the guy basically said, "Oh, yeah. That. I'll get you another phone." Kinda funny. But I've got another phone now, that doesn't do that, but looks exactly the same as my original, so it's all good.
That was my one exciting thing today. Other than that, it's been, like I said, a really boring day. I'll be glad when it's over for thus endith the week and this week has been long.
