I'M BACK!
Before I get to all the good stuff about the show and the waiting in line and everything I just want to mention that this is more of a journal entry more than a report. And I have trouble remembering when the middle talks were, so I'll just talk about the last ones. With that being said, the "live report" begins~
At about 21:50 I met up with Markus at the trainstation and after quite a wait we finally got on the train to Stockholm. It was a long ride, but we couldn't sleep more than like 20 min each (and trust me, we tried). And so we arrived in Stockholm 7 hours later still hyped up and really excited for the show. Then we met up with dear Mino-san and headed to Arenan, where quite a few people had gathered already even though it wasn't even 7 am! Got number 66 in the line and so a long day of waiting in line started.
The people next to us was as hyped up as we were and I'm confident enough to say that we were the ones hyping the most in the line, we had a really fun time together. Among those people were the founder of OGYD! *waves*
Quite alot happened during those hours in line so I'll just mention a few things briefly; we gave Crazy D the fanbook through the fence, got filmed a bit (as were Markus' arm, very important tattoo) and stood in the girl's bathroom to hear the soundcheck... xD
I'm happy to say that there were alot more people at the venue than we first expected! Perhaps a thousand people or so, hard to tell as we were in the beginning of the line and the line circled basically around the whole building... Anyway, pleasantly surprised over how many showed up! As everyone stood up before the concert there was an immediate pressure, I stood almost in the center of the third row and could hardly move my arms. People were too quiet at that point in my opinion but when the message started a while later, people got all fired up and it was getting really hot at that point. We had to wait another 10-15 min after that though until the band went on stage.
The crowd went really crazy and started screaming at the top of their lungs as G entered the stage looking unbelievably hot. I swear, he's even hotter in real life!
The first song was The End of The Day. Unfortunatly we couldn't hear their singing that well, but what we heard was awe inspiring! Gackt really has an extra-ordinary falsetto. Really beautiful. He sings just as good in real life as on CD (just in case anyone ever doubted that).
The song is very catchy, but as most of us had not heard it before we just sang along with what we could make out/was repeated.
I was also happy to see how well G and Jon's personalities match! They were really funny to watch singing together. And to be honest they look HOT together (even if I don't find Jon really attractive...)
NINE SPIRAL was next. A song most fans knows and so there were quite a few singing along, everyone jumping and headbanging as best as they could (for us up front it was kind of hard since we were pretty tightly packed).
When SPEED MASTER started the crowd went ballistic, by now most people were singing along. Do I even have to mention how incredibly sexy G was squirming on stage? It's one of my favorite songs and it is one of the best songs to perform live as the lyrics are easy to remember. Being the crazy G-fangirl that I am I couldn't help but just focus on the music and Gackt himself...
I feel the need to mention that Chacha and You were epic the whole concert!
And Jon didn't take too much place as some would think, he was more of a shadow to G, backing him up and trying his best to both match G's vocal skills and please us.
A new song kalled Kiss came after that, which got the crowd a bit off balance, but still people were screaming their lungs out to show their love and appreciation for YFC.
The fith song was Episode.0 which kept the whole crowd screaming for more. Once again, I want to emphasise that Gackt's voice is indeed breathtaking. It really takes sooo much skill and talent to sing like he does... This version is a bit more powerfull and more 'rock spirit' than the single version. The audience exploaded once more when Mind Forest [Eng. Version] started and headbangin, singing the lyrics and really got into the music. This song is also one of my faves (along with Episode.0) and hearing G sing it was incredible.
After that came the infamous Môsô girl, as soon as it started and the boys started dancing their funny and cute dance the whole crowd jumped around, going crazy again. A really funny (and quite hot) performance! In the middle of it when they threw out their shirts and ties I managed to grab a hold of the most part of Jon's shirt - which I of course hanged onto as if my life depended on it. Almost fell backwards a few times, but managed to get a hold of the rail in front and slowly but surely pull the shirt to me. When it was only one girl left tugging at it (I still had like 90% of the damn shirt in my hands) a really cute japanese(/swedish) guy offered to help me get it and so I succesfully caught Jon's shirt! (It's now hanging in my room, pics are found in the bottom of this entry).
Unfortunatly for me this battle lasted quite a while into Vanilla, so I had to struggle while people around me pushed me and jumped and pulled at the shirt. I did however jump along and stare at G after that... *laugh*
I think I missed out on a lot of fanservice however (but I saw G touching Jon's crotch and them humping eachother's legs!)... Well, Vanilla is his most famous song (probably) and so everyone was jumping around, going crazy over the fanservice and singing along. One of the most awesome performances ever, I'm quite sad that I kinda missed half of it.
When Justified started I had lost so much water and it was so hot that I thought I was gonna collapse, but I pulled through. Couldn't help but join the other's and jump around and headbang to the music! The song has never been one of my absolute faves, but it's still epic live. Jesus got the crowd even more fired up and everyone shouted "HEY!" at the top of their lungs and all arms were in the air. I feel however that Jon's voice didn't really fit the song - but hey, he can't help that. He does know how to sing well.
As I felt the lack of water and pressure getting to me I pushed my way a bit back before another new song started - You Are the Reason.
It's hard for me to describe how beautiful it was, G and Jon singing this heartful song together for us. "You are the reason I live..."
All focus was on them as they sung and I think many quickly catched the lyrics and started to sing along, I atleast did.
But even more beautiful and astonishing was the following ballad called All my Love. It's undescribable! Breathtaking performance by Gackt to say the least. I would've cried if I had had any tears to shed. I sang along to every word of it (it was very easy to hear what they were singing in this song). The whole room swayed to the rythm and the mood in the venue was lovely.
At the end we all screamed out our love for G and the chickenz... Pretty much all of their names were screamed, as well as a lot of "I LOVE YOU" and "aishiteru". When he asked us afterwards about if we still wanted him everyone screamed as loud as they could manage with their by this time sore throats "YEAH!" until he started talking again. He seemed really taken by that, almost teary-eyed and with an oh-so-cute smile on his face. We shouted when he asked us if we wanted him to return and shouted just as loudly to promise him that we'd return to see him as well. Couldn't care less about my voice breaking and everything, I just kept on screaming out to show him that we do love him. I really do hope he understands how much we love him and want him to return... I think he knows.
Hopefully he will return next year as well!
After everyone had left the stage ater only throwing out a little stuff everyone stayed and kept shouting for more. Of course everyone knew there would be an encore and that they'd return. And so they did, Uncontrol blasting from the speakers. Once again the crowd jumped and sang along... I bet I wasn't the only one wishing it wouldn't end.
But all goods have to come to an end. Everyone in the band did get their share of the love of course~ They did all throw out stuff and people jumped to catch them. By reflex I caught a waterbottle, I think it was from Takumi but I'm not certain. Cha was the last one out and so he entertained the audience a while, being his usual cheery and adorable self! During the concert I could unfortunatly not see much of him so I'm really happy that it was he that got to finish the show.
After the lights went out the final message played telling us to leave nothing behind except being half-assed and told us to quit smoking and other random things. Really funny! After the show I saw the cute lolita that had been by my side the first 3-4 songs or something and I gave her the bottle after drinking from it. She got all happy, it was kinda adorable~
Well outside I saw the cute guy who had helped me gettting the shirt and thanked him once again, got a hug^__^
That's about all that I had to say about the concert in itself.
I did however buy some goods before the show started!
This is what I bought:
Backside of Tank Top (B)
And also, some pics of Jon's shirt! (it's tiny btw lol)
To verify that it really is Jon's...
