i did a report on the "walking three steps behind" - its an amazing part of history both for japan, england and even the united states. it is about protecting someone and that someone trusting you to do it.

i think his explanations have gotten so much better vs when he was younger and didnt explain his thoughts as well (remember how people erupted about his female gender role??)

also OVERSEAS??? yay!! it would be amazing to see this live. i really think he has come so far as an actor.

thanks amaia for translating! you are the best

Unable to give you an award, but I would if I could. Thank you. You are very brave translating and sharing this kind of things.

There´s some truth here; males and females cannot be equal in every aspect. If you put a heavy load in front of a woman, she have to ask some man to lift it. Men cannot bleed 6 days and stay alive. How people define equality seems to be great source of misunderstandings and assumptions. ^^

Oh, Samantha Wright! Remarkable lady.

You are quite right. No person EVER, exactly. Concerning females, history shows painfully how women are pretty much mentioned only when they have been much better or worse than men. Comparison is the word, but why females should be compared to men, or by male terms?

Generalizations and stereotypes do exist only when there is some amount of data to create sort of common concept about something, but it certainly does not define or specify single person. When people start to act and value things according to stereotypes, significant troubles can occur.

( Of course female soldiers are hot, haha! But I don´t believe G wants anyone stronger than him in bed with him....Would do him good, though. XD )

G seems more open on gender than he actually comes off as at first glance. I think he's still pretty set into a lot of gender roles, but at least it's obvious not the 'men supply food and shelter, women tend to houses and kids' one. Which is funny, actually.

Like, he'll consistently say things about women needing to support their man, by letting him take the lead. Then turn around an say that it doesn't matter who it is doing that, just that there needs to be D and S roles. And the first bit is really the only one that gets out--particularly since I think this is the first time he's sad that, I think.

I'm really happy to see that consistently through here--even if it would cause less confusion if he would just say that in the first place. I see a good amount of people calling out sexism over this, despite that he is saying that women can totally take the dominant role of a relationship. :<

You really do deserve an award though, that's a pretty darn amazing feat. And thank you so much!
