I was watching this video the other day.

and you know, I have a serious -insane- love for japanese Idols, but lately I've been listening kpop girl groups and... you know, I have problems using the term 'idol' for korean groups, because, for me there is only one type of Idols and those are the japanese idols...but anyway, I mean, the japanese Idols are Ai Dolls and the korean idols are just idols -idolized- and yes, I know the actual japanese idols are not so noble/pure/innocents as before, but well~ I love the nobility of their origins~

But anyway, I love both, japanese and korean girl groups...well, maybe 'I love' is an exaggerated term to reffer kpop girl groups, but yeah, I really like some of the current korean girl groups~

Anyway, is curious how different are those two styles. First we have japanese idol groups, their lyrics and music are so cheerful, makes you feel that everything is gonna be fine, encourage you and all. Well, at least their first songs -talking about Hello!Project- becouse their recently are going in a kpopish way~ but back in the 60's - 80's their songs were better...just saying~

And we have kpop...their music is not to complicated, had really easy rhythm, easy lyrics, I mean I know is not easy being a singer/stage performer, but the lyrics and the rhytm are not so elaborate, most of times have an strong american sound/base, specially those so called hip hop / R&B singers ... which are almost everybody~ Kpop is music to dance, party and thats all.

Of course, there are exceptions, incredible songs and singers in both sides -j and k- but is like everything,  everyone has different tastes~

As fas as I'm concerned, I like both, but now I'm just discovering kpop and I like what I heard, is pretty refreshing -considering my experience with american sounds is zero- and...I mean, I was like 12 years into japanese music market, so very few things are what surprised me there~

Then, I saw some notes about SNSD japanese debut and the huge number of fans who met there...and how the most of them were women~ This surprise me because in japaese idols fans world -wota's world- is rare see a fan girl, most of them are guys -25-40 years old- so see young women there is amazing~

You know, japanese wotas...japanese idols are just sexual objects, their fans only look at them as a piece of meat, only want marry them or worse, want to see them as their slave using a maid costume...

But for women are different, right? We...how we see our idols? as role models? maybe not of behavior, but in the physical appearance? maybe the foreing fans, but in Japan and Korea all girls looks almost the same, so the difference between an idol and an average girl is not THAT big...although...plastic surgery...even if them only correct their eyes or nose...or...idk, I'm not asian, I don't know the real physical difference between an idol an a normal girl...

Therefore I prefer talk about attitude~
The Idols seems to be happier, live a glamourous life, been healthy, and happier that everyone else, wich gives an illusion of more freedom. We know how tight is the asian culture, right? How women are submissive, degraded and understimated. So, for them seen this gorgeous women on stage, being  worshiped is like a dream, the regular women want that kind of treatment. I think that's why so many women are fan of these kind of groups, specially of SNSD legs :P

Because in Japan, japanese idols dress to serve, to be a visual delight for their fans, kpop girl groups dress up to play, to show you what you never have -as male fan- they are a bit sassy... so, yeah...is all about sex in both sides .__.

I'm not an expert in any of this two subjects, but are just some things that I thing about.
Hope noboby feels offended .__.

i was thinking, kpop, idol, jpop, random
