What's wrong with things that live in the ocean? I might live in the ocean.

Nothing, it...ngh, it's a long story.

I have an awful lot of time on my hands. You better not have done anything to my shark.

Your shark's fine. Anything havin' to do with you is fine.

I'm not talking about it.

So you did have something to do with it, for it to end up 'fine'? That's just not right. It's an innocent creature.

Come on, man. It wasn't that bad. Almost as fun as port.

[sigh] Yes, Warren. I killed your shark. I cut him up into itty bitty sushi bits. He's fine sushi. Grade A, even.

...aside from anything happenin' to your fishy friends, what would it take to make you unhappy?

God, someone is taking things a little personally. Makes me think that something pretty embarrasing happened to you during the flood. What, did you end up singing the top twenty greatest romantic hits of the eighties or something?

It was a completely normal flood and nothing unusual happened at all.

[realizes he's expecting Warren to read social cues, and comply. Time to lie!]

This is what I do, complain. It's sort of my thing.

Oh, okay. [Warren actually sounds like he buys it.] Sorry that I jumped on you like that. Does it make you feel better about being on the barge or something?

More or less. It...gives me something to do 'stead of just letting it hang in the air like it ain't important. [which is pretty much true anyway]

Plus I hear that if you whine loud enough, you get cookies, and hell if I'm not gonna get compensated somehow.

I guess that makes sense. Keeps problems in the wardens awareness and all of that.

If you're gonna ask the Admiral for something, you might want to aim a bit higher than cookies. Iroh would probably be able to get the kitchen staff to do a lot of them is you really wanted.

Change 'wardens' to 'Admiral' and 'awareness' to 'rage against', and then yeah, somethin' like that.

I could get plenty out of my warden, son. It ain't my warden who owes me in spades.

I don't think that the Admiral is working on a barter system. He gave me my shark without having done anything to me.

Oh, he does whatever he wants. All the more reason for me to take whatever little foothold I can get. [shrug] You like it here, I don't expect you to understand.

What makes you think that I like it here? Sure, I can handle the floods because they're funny, but it doesn't mean that I want to be here. I want to be at home, in my house, with all my stuff.

...yeah, well, I suppose we all do. You just have a way of lookin' like you're on a picnic.
