You make an excellent point. Although not everyone responded to my post, those that did, made the deal while they were, perhaps, not in the best position to make proper decisions.
Whether they would have made the deal anyway, they seemed to believe so, but the fact that that opportunity was not presented to them then, well, it speaks more than words.

Granted, we supposedly ain't bein' "punished" here. We're meant to get fixed, or reformed, or somethin'. This helps nothing, naturally.

Having no will of your own rather means that you have no feelings to hurt. They make for limited company, but at least I can be assured that they won't betray me.
