Let's see... where to start.
Friday - went out with girlhighday since she was home in K-town. There seemed to be some cosmic force preventing us from getting wasted no matter how much we drank. Nonetheless, good times were had - I mean, when you are going to bed just after your dad is getting up for work, it has to be labelled a good time, right?

Saturday - woke up much earlier than I should have, but I felt totally awake and fine. Did the usual weekend errand type stuff (ie. sending parcels, buying hair dye which I have not used yet). Went to Dolly's and Kent's to play cards, and made a mental note not to do that again anytime soon. I know it is just generational and class differences that make our points of view so foreign to each other, but I also know that it's a lot easier to take on a once-in-a-while basis.

Sunday - worked 11-4, even taking him out for a brief walk in the freezing cold. Helped mom with Avon stuff - hence why I forgot to watch Grey's.

Monday - um... I don't remember anything I did during the day except take a short walk to drop off my timecards, and make meatloaf. Monday night was the wonderful evening of plumbing problems - hence why I forgot to watch House.

Tuesday - waited around most of the day for the plumbers to get here. They left just in time for me to go to work. Watched House when I got home (which was unfortunately not the episode from Monday) and took a bath, with appropriate thoughts of thankfulness that the hot water was working again.

Wednesday - Worked 830-1230, then went to Ministry of Health office to get insurance taken care of. Called my old doctor, who has not yet called me back - I'm thinking I will just go to a clinic. Treated myself to McD's for lunch and finally stopped in at the local gaming store to buy Fluxx. Going there brings such mixed emotions. It was only maybe 30% bigger than our store was, in size, but FILLED with product. If only we'd had more capital... Anyway. Went to see Brokeback Mountain last night. It was ok, but not worth all the hype. I understand why they spoke the way they did, but it does make a movie hard to follow when you miss 1/4 of the dialogue. And sometimes I don't think evoked the proper emotion... when Jack said "This is a bitch of an unsatisfactory situation," I (and a few other people in the theater) laughed. I did really like the end though - the ambiguity of his death and the way that clothes became symbolic.

Today - I was supposed to go help clean at my grandma's, but she called to cancel because she had forgotten a doctor's appointment. So I pretty much did nothing... chatted with sugarbeet a lot and figured out when we met (July 2003... it feels like much longer than that). Without LJ it would be hard to remember the date of such things.

I think maybe I shouldn't have uploaded Fumbling Towards Ecstacy because it makes me feel melancholy... and I do that well enough on my own lately.

emotions, movies
