OVERSEAS ANYONE/lost son
Well as the clock ticks down to 30 Sep 10, my job is floating up and down. The information we have been given varies from the time of day and weather about Mississippi. I am going to loose $$ going from my current employer to civil service. Then to top that, the supervisor spot i was told i had, kinda disappeared. That would have kept me where i was, granted medical and dental would be way cheaper than I have been paying.
So alot of my fellow co-workers in other sections are looking or have gotten jobs in Germany and Kuwait. Some go as early as Aug other sep.
I have been seriously considering a job in Kuwait. Most jobs are running in the 100k for 1 year. I could be debt free and have some coin put away for a house or move to a new place when i got back.
It's kinda nerve racking to decide which fate i wish to choose.
Side note, David my delinquent son, has not lived with me for weeks now. He just didn't come hoe anymore. He moved in with a friend of his, granted he still has no job, no ged, nothing but what he took with him. It boggles my mind, he simply had to do a GED program or get a job. But he'd rather be out of the house and out on his own. I got him his state ID and bank account setup. I guess the hard lesson is to happen now. I wish i understood him better, but he is big boy now.
What a crazy year this will be.
