It is, I should think, quite a good thing that John Winthrop is already dead; else, I imagine that I and my honorable history colleagues could take great pleasure in remedying that. It's not so much the spelling (not Old English, Mrs. DeBlasio, most assuredly not,) which is rather atrocious, but forgiveable given the time period and the paucity of dictionaries; it's the fact that by the time I finish a sentence I've forgotten the point he was making at the beginning of it.
So I hope it's not imperative that we read all of it. Because, yeah, I'm not going to. Shall just go back to my Latin translations - comparatively joyous, by the by, comparatively easy. Nonetheless: a sad day when there's something I really can't bring myself to read.
At least we have a competant teacher? ~.^
