• It is humid beyond belief, so much so that only the light hiss of rain and the staccato drumming in the gutters distinguish between heavy mist and true precipitation. I'm not quite sure but will assume for now (because I like the brighter screen) that that half-heard roll of thunder was mere imagination.

Yeah, I didn't bother using one because I haven't been able to see them in ages.

I use firefox and can see icons. I think your installation of firefox simply fails at life and needs to be shot, and promptly rebirthed.

Yeah, I just reinstalled it and it seems to be fine now. Am not at all sure what was wrong with the previous installation, but I'll take it.
