Dear diary

So the Midsummer Day's feast is over and I'm back alive.

I've gotta say everything went rather well. We had really fun time and I even made some friends. I even succeeded in not drinking myself in such an awful condition, and I did not act like such an idiot like last year.

The gigs were good, even though I only watched three of them. We mostly hanged out in my brother and his friends' camp. The guys there had some sense of humour! Most of time it was absolutely hilarious, except for some more tasteless parts, but I won't go into that. Also, we had another friend along - she was there for the first time and she was absolutely exhilarated about the festival. She even said she'll never again spend Midsummer in anywhere else.

Also, I got to brag about history! I don't know why, but whenever I hear someone expressing stereotypical and uninformed opinions about history, I just get so belligerent. This time, I had to clear some things about the witch trials and the crusades - you know the deal. I'm just a bit disappointed I did not remember to say that it's the 20th century, the age of rapid development and science, that most people have been killed. How come people seem to think that it's okay to criticize Christianity in general for witch trials (when they were not even that big deal as people seem to think?) and forget all about the millions of people who have been killed in the name of progress?

Now I'm back to home and work, and I really wish my summer job would end already. Does that come as surprise? I'm just so tired of that monotonous work. I think I'll go mad if I have to work there for yet another summer.

As for other things, I'm watching the sixth season of Supernatural. I'm somewhere around the 18th episode and honestly, I'm still not sure why this season had to be made. I thought that the fifth season had somewhat perfect ending, no matter how painful it was to see Sam go to Hell along with Lucifer. I really don't like where Castiel is going and I hope he'll be somehow redeemed before the end.

So, yeah. Nothing new under the sun here.

I think I'll go and watch an episode of SPN.

i was drunk, history, work, supernatural, castiel, summer festivals, friends, complaining
