my kind of trouble is you

So, precamp is over in two days. Kids! Incoming! We've been here so long (or it feels like it on Orme time anyway) that I don't actually believe kids are coming anymore...I've got an interesting cabin, I think, after reading my files. Some girls with issues, some artsy girls, sporty girls, and a Japanese girl who doesn't speak a ton of English. I think it'll be fun. Also, I get my own room both sessions, which kicks ass. It will make nightly coming and going much easier (last year I always woke up my campers no matter how quiet I was).

Thursday night- Prescott trip. Fucking awesome. Maya's fish tacos, and then on to Matt's Saloon where everyone got in although three people were kicked out (Ever been kicked out but invited back in the next day? Jesse puking in the urinal). Merrick and Caitlin joined. Everyone cowboyed up- Monica's barn taffeta skirt. Dancing at Matt's was out of control. Bugaloo on Orme road, Ali stepped in cactus, Taylor and Trevor too friendly, girl kissing, hookups, sleeping in the wash (a nice surprise) and waking up with a bruise on my shoulder from lying on my flask. Fucking cold and in time for breakfast. Friday day off as well- sleep, David Sedaris (for all of you out there who haven't, I recommend you read Dress Your Family In Courderoy and Denim), then back to Prescott with Sasha for some Western gear and Spiderman underwear. Thai food was delicious (and the cute Asian guy who pretended to card us when we ordered Thai iced tea). Back for the party at Joel and Linda's- peach schnapps and Weekly World News. Did you know Dick Cheney is a robot? Got my cabin assignments and then it was a backrub party with Eric, Scott, Sasha, me, Jesse, and Heidi. Eric was a whiny bitch but his grandmother was in Playboy on a bearskin rug. This morning- Folf training (the course needs work), pointless olders meeting, bed moving, file reading. Now lunch, survival training, batik painting and dye mixing, then to PH to test out the new horses before the blow-out BBQ at Tim's. Most people seem worn out with drinking but I hold high hopes for the evening anyway. Gossip trains are off and running, the secret to Orme is to talk about everyone except yourself and deflect all suspicions.

Study abroad- recieved my itinerary and now I'm waiting for the mail room to open up Monday so I can recieve new NSEP info and mail off tickets and forms. After that, I should be finalized and get some money.

I leave in two months and one week.
