Is this then another curse? This change of mood that came at midnight?

Tell me of your mood, City. Are you kindly or cruel?

And yet the two are exclusive?

You would be the last person I would tell no to that question.

And now we see in which mood our gentleman Armand finds himself for the evening.

But what mood finds you this evening?

I couldn't tell you, Armand, and not for lack of try.

I wake as I always wake, with a mind eager to behold that which is there. And sometimes more, and rarely less. But that is not mood, that is spirit.

Eager to behold that which is there. Ah, Master, I find that description something to envy.

Passivity was always a poor suit on you, Armand. It's the stitches, I think. Something always falls apart.

There were times when it suited me until I realized that the cut was fine, but the color did not flatter.

I have told you, it must always be blue: and a marine blue, or perhaps the azure.

Or sky blue, yes, I know you see me in vivid blues.

....yeah, he's smug, what >> discanted November 2 2008, 05:45:23 UTC
And I'll not be damned for it, the colour suits you.

I'll see your smug and raise you some ego amadeodivenezia November 2 2008, 05:47:44 UTC
I offered no reproach. I still wear blue when I wish to have all eyes upon me even more than usual.

A difficult feat.

Clothing will make a difference. Yes, people look if I wear jeans and a t-shirt, but wear a suit with a shirt of azure silk, and I can own the room. Costumes change how a person is perceived with such totality that they can even change self-perception.

I had thought the young Master needed only to show his face to own the room. Or so say the gentlefolk of Venice.

You of all people have no need to flatter. In Venice the gentlefolk were put to the test for wonders when they had to choose between us, and I in my master's orbit would have nothing but they love us both.
