[Armand waits, his attention lost in the waters of the fountain, and who knows what visions he sees there?]

[It does not take her too long to arrive, though she takes her time as she is still unused to wandering about alone. As she enters the square, she sees the figure of a boy staring at the fountain with interest. She begins walking toward him, slowly, dark hair tousled by the slight breeze.]

I have a lot to learn about it, too. I'm learning about it at school, though. So it helps a lot.

[Of course he heard her coming, this girl with the open heart. He heard his name in her mind and her steps on the pavement, but he waited until she spoke to turn to her and smile. He had color in his cheeks from the blood he had taken from not just one person, but many, leaving them dazed but alive in this strange place.]

[As he turned, she smiled a little more brightly, seeing the kind expression on his face. She had no concept of what he was, being a true innocent; but she was trusting despite this, and closed the greater part of the distance between them.]

[She looked up at him as he spoke, and nodded lightly.]

Allright. I ought to look for some things I need, when I can get a job.

[Was that the imp's smile there? Shopping for Armand was always a matter of simply having what he wanted and he had always delighted in giving gifts.]

I will be your gentleman escort for that and perhaps something will catch my eye along the way.

[He sounded so proper, and it made her curious. But she said nothing, for a few moments until he spoke again.]

[Her smile was back, as she eased in the company of her friend.]

Peace here is easy for some people to achieve. When there aren't curses affecting people, that is. Those can range from.. benign to nasty, I've heard.

I'm not sure. I'm not finished my education yet, but so long as the place isn't disreputable, I'll work.

I have never found peace easy to achieve. I do not think it will be easier here than before.

What would you like to do if you could do anything at all?

[She looked around for a moment, then back at him.]

[She looked at him, her dark eyes widening a little. A smile formed on her face.]

Yes. There are wonders and creatures that go unknown or unspoken of where I am from. I am adjusting to that.
