So the white-hate supremesist groups are already coming out of the woodwork, and a lot of people believe that Obama will be assassinated within a year of his inoguration, if not sooner.

And McCain is old. And has had skin cancer three times already.
So this election really is as much about the Vice Presidents as it is about Obama and McCain. I did my Palin research when she was announced, and there were things I really liked about her, and things I really didn't. But like everyone else, I really hadn't paid much attention to Biden. So I decided to do some research. And by "some research" I mean I read the article on him on Wikipedia.
Senator Joe Biden of Delaware,
You rock my socks in a way they have never been rocked before: Politically. I got just as emotional reading the wikipedia article on you as I did reading the wiki-summary of Harry Potter 7. You are perfect.
People question your leadership experience. It's true that from the very begining of your political carrer (elected to the city council in 1970) your experience has been in the legislative branch of government, but you've chaired multiple senate commities.
Including the Judiciary commitee. Ok, so you screwed up on the Anita Hill thing, but after that you made it up to us by working to pass The Violence Against Women Act in 1994, which gave over one billion dollars to investigating cases of domestic violence and sex-based crimes. That same year, you worked to pass the "Biden Crime Law," which provided over 15 billion dollars to police officers, prisons, and crime-prevention programs.
More recently (read: currently), you are chairman of the Foreign Relations commitee. If ever you've been worried that the president or congress has done something that might not sit well with a foreign leader, you've taken matters into your own hands and paid that leader a visit to smooth things over. In the last five years, you've made countless trips to the Middle East. You are a respected, familiar and friendly face to the leaders of the Middle East.
But at the same time, you are not afraid to put your fist down when the situation calls for it. You stated that Saddam Hussein was a threat, and after September 11, 2001 had no problem doing what was needed to defend this country. You work towards the diplomatic solution of a three-state federation in Iraq, but you don't bullshit us on how long and how costly that will be. You are for keeping troops in Iraq. You are a great example of the American Cowboy that the world has come to respect.
You're a family man - you commute an hour and a half on the train each way to work every day so you can be home - and I like that. Your check from Uncle Sam, as big as it may be, is thought to be your only source of income (read: you don't invest in the stock market or mutual funds, and your wife doesn't work [as far as I've read]); you don't exploit your position to live a nicer lifestyle. And to top it all off, you've got a sense of humor!
Your priorities as a representative of the state of Delaware - making the state a safer place to live - and as a representative of the United States to foreign countries - keeping communication lines open - make sense to me. You not only realize that national sequrity is top-priority, but you have over 30 years of experience handling foreign policy, and know what it takes to keep peaceful relations in the new millenium.
Palin is just a piece of eye candy. Senator Biden, Joe, you are the milk for my Oreo.
