A day trip to the science center in Harrisburg, PA, visiting the science center, finding some dinner, and then seeing The Dark Knight at the I-Max.
Ok, so how cool of a day would this be?
We all meet at Marley Station around 11:30 am, in the parking lot in front of Ruby Tuesday. We take about half an hour to get some lunch, and figure out how we're going to car pool.
Once we have that settled, we caravan the hour and 45 minutes or so drive up to Harrisburg Pennsylvania, to the Whitaker Center for Science & Arts. It's pretty easy to get to, and there's a nearby parking garage.
So by now it's about 1:30-2:00. Here, we can go a few different ways. Admission to the Science Center is $22, $20 for students. For those of us broke, or uninterested, we're going to be right in downtown Harrisburg, so there's plenty of city to wander around.
Around 4, 4:30ish, we can regroup, and find a resturant to eat dinner at.
After dinner, head back over to the I-MAX and catch a 5:30 showing of The Dark Knight on the I-MAX screen (YYYEAAAAHHH!!!!). Tickets are about $17, once you factor in the service charges.
The movie is almost two and a half hours long - we'll be out around 8:00, and everyone's home by 10.
Sounds good? Sounds *AMAZING!*
I know it will be pretty expensive (plan to spend at least $60 for Science center, Dinner, and Movie), but I think it could be totally worth it!
I will be buying tickets in bulk online on Friday, July 11th, so if you're interested, please let me know ASAP. Even if it's just a "'Maybe' for now, but I'll let you know for sure closer to the date," let me know if you're interested. I'd be happy to buy a ticket for you, and you can just pay me back that day.
