ROUND ONE: CHALLENGE TWO

Oct 05, 2012 23:44

Sorry I took so long to get this up! The internet's not working too well at our house and I had to wrestle my Dad for some internet. And so in honour of the Mid-Autumn Festival last Sunday, we're going to go to...

IN BEIJING
silent and majestic, there stands the Great Wall of China
One of the wonders of world, the Great Wall of China is a series of walls over 20,000 km long, first built to separate the battling regions in China. This week I want you to represent the theme of separation or division in your icon. This can be technical or interpretive (think of Chang'e and Hou Yi in the legend of the Mid-Autumn festival)

clothed in crimson red, may Lady Luck be on your side
So in China, the colour red is considered their lucky colour, so your icon should be predominantly red if you choose this option. You could try to represent luck in your icon.

rice paper on bamboo, lanterns flying skyward in the night
During the Mid-Autumn festival, children usually play with paper lanterns or sky lanterns are launched into the sky. For this option, I want you to use a paper or wood/branch texture in your icon for represent these lanterns :)

Please include at least ONE of these options in your icon. Kudos to you if you do more C:INSPIRATIONS
